Dear friends,

I hope you all had a good start into the new year 2019. After the turbulences in the middle of 2018 and my winter travels to Bangkok (Thailand) and Beijing (China), I had a peaceful and reflective Christmas with my family and friends. The turn of the year was accordingly solemn and gave me the right momentum for 2019.

I cooked five days at the „St. Regis Hotel“. It is always a new, exciting and challenging task to work with a foreign team and deliver a peak performance. At the end of the day and especially at the end of the event, there is the joy of having "made it". We were rewarded for it with the great praise of the guests and many happy faces. This will never be boring after all these years!

 
   

Other highlights in Bangkok

I visited the famous restaurant „Le Normandie“ in the "Mandarin Oriental" of my friend Arnaud Dunand Sauthier (2 Michelin stars). Then followed a visit of the two-star restaurant „Sühring“ – soaked up a taste of home, because there cook the twins Thomas and Mathias a great German cuisine inspired modern kitchen. I was especially happy to meet our former patissier Roman Aster there. After a meeting in China, we went back home.

 
   

What's next?

To take a "big step", I would like to wait a little while. Of course there will be fresh and exciting guest cooking events in different parts of the world in 2019 as well. Greece, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Florida and Nicaragua are planned.
